Does anyone have a sense of wear they ended up on numbers? Especially past pk3? I know they ran through their wait lists pretty quickly and am worried about buddget.

Looking at both of these resources it seems like there's basically no waitlist anymore. It wouldn't surprise me if they had a tough Count Day. I think their 5-year review next year is going to be rocky.

Wow, this is shocking! I can't believe they are at 0 even for pk3. That would mean everyone who added post lottery got in well? There is no way they fill there primary and lower elementary classes.

I know, it's crazy. I do think the new MV has a lot to do with it. And also the additional classroom at Langley. When SSMA first moved to the neighborhood, people would consistently choose it over Langley. But not anymore, I guess.

Yes the new MV is an issue along with Langley but that doesn't fully explain it as they have no wait list at 1st, which is not impacted by MV. I think the school's reputation has just tanked over the past 18 months or so due to Dr. R.'s shenanigans. It's really sad because the school had such great potential.

Langley has probably cleared all its waitlists except PK3 right now. Because despite the hype, it still isn't a school people stick with if they have a better option. Still, it's embarrassing that SSMA is being outclassed by so many unappealing schools.

Langley still has people on the wait list for pk4 but has mostly cleared the rest. Pretty crazy how far below Langley SSMA has fallen!

If I'm looking at their budget materials properly on the DCPCSB site, they budgeted for 317 students for FY2019

Our DC was at SSMA for two years. Everything PPs have said about “Dr” R is correct. Petty, vindictive, power hungry, selfish, incompetent, the list goes on. It’s heartbreaking because the school has so much potential. But she is the rot at the core of the school, and I personally think it’s too late for trust to rebuilt and for the school to recover.

It depends on the school's goals. Or if there are financial problems or not enough money or other violations of law. But given the low test scores and low retention, they are definitely in trouble, especially because these were issues at their 5-year review as well. Last time they got a conditional continuance. In general being Tier 3 for more than one year is a sign of big trouble. SSMA was a high tier 2 last year, so they have some room to drop before they hit Tier 3.
