| No one is changing anything. They are doing a boundary study. That's it. Stop putting the cart before they horse. You all sound stupid and selfish. You don't even know what you don't know. Jesus, you're like children. |
They're not even doing a boundary study. Well, actually, they are doing a boundary study - for the boundaries of Clarksburg HS/Seneca Valley HS/Northwest HS. But the panic here is about a boundary analysis. An analysis of the boundaries. That's it. |
Right, why can't there be a magnet program at Churchill, where all of the high-achieving students are anyway? No fair! -is something I have read many, many times on DCUM. |
Are you sure they're that high-performing? I heard most of the magnet kids are from Silver Spring. |

What drives me nuts about these threads is how little data about why the BOE would consider this is discussed.
Appreciate those who are identifying underenrolled schools adjacent to overcrowded schools. The other 105 page thread has a number of citations as to why economic integration is valuable to all students' education. Wish we integrated more of those findings into these discussions. |
This like screams to me that thus whole thread and post was started by a troll. |
| Although the county faces some difficult challenges, this is mostly fear mongering. Sure, they probably should shift some boundaries around to address overcrowding and when possible even provide greater economic diversity. These things can likely be accomplished with even less busing than goes on now. You people need to chillax. |
