I hear people criticizing Trump for withdrawing from Kyoto but much of what I see on the ground is no different.

Limousine liberals (a bit like you). People who pick and choose what liberal concepts don't cost them money and disregard the ones that don't. You all criticize those that don't do the things that you find convenient or less costly and you ignore any issue or complaint that is inconvenient for you.

I would genuinely like to know. I live in Bethesda and practically everybody I know drives an SUV. Yet I'm pretty sure that, if I asked, they would say they are very concerned about climate change and disappointed the US withdrew from the Kyoto protocol. Obviously I risk alienating friends and neighbors if I ask this directly as it could sound accusatory. Please only answer if you have an SUV and these beliefs.
Did you type this s*** on an iphone or some other computer?
If so how do you reconcile the supposed use of child labor, low wages and the importation of materials not manufactured in the U.S. ?
How do you justify the use of the electronic device manufactured by a company that likely raked in millions or billions in profits but paid little OR NO TAXES?
Do you order stuff from Amazon? How do you justify Amazon paying zero, nada, ZILCH in taxes and not being a good employer?

Do you use electricity?
What about chem trails?
What about internet addiction?
Shouldn't you be out in the world making it a better place instead of burying your face in the computer being petty on a website?
What about overpopulation-- YOU GOT KIDS
Shall we continue Petty Labelle?

This is Freakonomics at its best. GM has publicly stated they are heavily moving towards a full electronic cars. However, technology is expensive and the current electric cars make no profit. Large SUVs have huge profit margins and GM uses the profits to put into R&D for electric cars. In this odd case buying an Escalade is better for environment then buying a Chevy Bolt.

Plus going small from a large SUV causes more pollution. Lets say you trade in your used Chevy Tahoe and buy a Toyota Prius. Well they did not crush the Tahoe someone else is now driving it, plus you are driving Prius. Now you got two vehicles burning fuel.
