I seriously doubt a bargain-basement golden doodle is really hypoallergenic. $2300 is nothing. A real golden doodle starts at about $6k |
The shedded hair carries the proteins from saliva to you nose. That is what causes te aleergic response. Shedding is also messy. |
| If I were to re home my small doodle mix who is under 1 year, I wouldn’t have to go through a shelter. I have so many friends who would want her. Dogs that end up in shelters or part of rescue are there for a reason. |

Mini poodle- he is amazing . $350 from a rescue.
Aussie $0 owner didn't want him. Literally a perfect pet. |
| Cavalier King Charles Spaniel $2500 |
You know a doodle is not a purebred, right? |
Yes, we have a 15 lb Chi cross who is the best dog ever. we adopted him at 3. he has zero bad habits. |
If it’s just a marketing ploy, why have I been able to live with havaneses (what I grew up with) and more recently, our 6 year old wheaten terrier and 4 year old golden doodle without so much as a sneeze or a red eye but I can barely go to a house with a golden retriever, husky, etc. without watering eyes up the wazoo, sneezing, etc? |
| Mutt, $325 from our local humane society including spaying, initial vet visit and shots, puppy classes until 20 weeks, starter bag of dog food and three completely besotted children. |
| Corgi $1800 |
| We are on our eighth greyhound. Yes, all retired racers and some were bred afterwards. Purest bloodlines out there too as all of ours can be traced due to meticulous breeding records. I have asthma and have never had any issues. We have three right now. You pay the rescue organization fee. Fantastic dogs! |
Wow. This staggers me. Try moving in 48 hours and see how many of your friends would actually take the dog. Or, have a baby, and then when the dog "acts up" (from probably not getting enough exercise) see if your friends are suddenly not so enamored of the dog. Ugliest post I've read in a long time. If you don't want a shelter/rescue dog, that's fine. Why are you pissing on them? |
