Does DACA and open immigration = leaders giving up on urban & flyover USA?

OMG, now immigrants are being blamed for breaking up unions?

Business wants to keep its labor dirt cheap with limited rights. That's it - plain and simple.

You people complaining about jobs for your kids, start teaching them they can get a job if they just give up stupid ideas about decent salaries and rights against employee abuses. That's the new American Way brought to you by the ruling party and the idiots who vote for them.

What have these kids done to deserve freebies while we have inner city and rural poor Americans going without?

They have gone to school, graduated, gotten jobs, never committed crimes, etc.

Inner city and rural poor Americans can do those things too. If they live in Houston (then they wouldn't be rural though), then they can get freebies too.

Native born Americans are held to a lower style. They are allowed to commit crimes, don't have to finish school, and don't have to pay $500 every two years for the privilege of staying in the only country they have ever known. The dreamers are better quality overall. We need more of them.

You didn't answer my question. Why do non-citizens deserve freebies? Are you saying inner city poor are simply too stupid to invest in?

They can't do these things without the freebies given to illegals and the children of illegals.

I guess I got a little lost. We're not talking about FEMA freebies in Houston? What freebies are associated with a HS degree and no criminal record?

I believe they're talking about all the freebies they got while growing up, like free education, free health care, free school lunches, ESOL if they needed it,that type of stuff. I read somewhere that the average cost per illegal per year of school is $14000 in my county, and a lot of them have three or four siblings. So, about $70,000 a year per illegal family, just for education.

The parents came here illegally and had children. Those kids got freebies from the states, at the very least, never mind what they stole in medical services. Money is finite. Give to one, take from another.

Their parents do pay property tax through their rent or their mortgage and do pay income taxes if they have work permits, which many do. But I don't know, maybe that $70k figure includes all of that, since I don't know how it was calculated. Anyway, it doesn't matter, because whether their parents pay lots of taxes or $0, the kids are entitled to an education. The Supreme Court has said so, and there are very compelling policy reasons for it as well.

Uh, no. Not really.

What more can be said? Illegals want FEMA money and if they have an anchor they get it. I look at that money as less for US citizens.

That's one way to look at it. Another way to look at it is those aren't good jobs, they won't pay well or give loyalty to their employees or treat them well. The young adult children of your friends should get better jobs than those.

Oh please. Look at the average HB1 salaries. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/Resources/Reports%20and%20Studies/Immigration%20Forms%20Data/BAHA/h-1b-2016-employers.pdf

FYI Mexico is sending 25 trucks with stuff and we're supposed to be grateful? How about 25 buses plus some semi's for it's citizens' stuff? http://www.cnn.com/2017/09/03/americas/mexico-aid-texas/index.html

1) You don't know whether or not they paid taxes
2) Given the bolded, why don't you come back AFTER you know something for sure
3) It DOES matter because the benefits given to THOSE kids are TAKEN from others. Do you believe that those resources should go to illegal kids and not to our own citizens?

Money is not finite? Really? Are you growing it in your backyard with your weed?
