What do you think when you find out someone is a doctor?

I have a high opinion of doctors. I had a brother who died of cancer, but his doctors really tried to save him. More recently, my DD required surgery and I'm so grateful that we were able to get her in with a very well respected surgeon. Doctors are sometimes the only thing that shields us from horrible lives or certain death. They often aren't paid well and usually aren't treated well by their employers. They give up work/life balance and have to deal with a lot of difficult emotions. Yes, they can be cold, but I think it's natural and probably healthy for them, given what they do in life and the toll it takes.
