It seems like everything was numbers based to get into the program, so I think there is more emphasis on test scores than developing the whole child.

There's certainly more emphasis on test scores than on the whole child TO GET IN, but that doesn't mean that it's all about the test scores once you're in the program.

For every parent who is worried about too much emphasis on test scores, there is another parent who is complaining that their DC didn't get in despite having a test score that is 1 point higher than their neighbor who got in.
