DC school board candidates?

Oh my. I thought her flyer which had some unrealistic goal like getting the graduation rate to 100% in a year made her seem like a bored ex-sorority girl with too much time on her hands and little knowledge about the struggles of Dc kids. Now I know that is what she is.

I've been on DCUM for 14 years (maybe longer?) and this is epic! This will go down as one of my favs...and I have a lot of DCUM favs!

Seriously. Best. Thread. Ever.

Does anyone HONESTLY believe that someone logged onto Ashley's DCUM account using her computer? I think the Washington City Paper was too generous in their description. She attacked her opponent calling her a bag lady with a turkey neck? How is that related to her effectiveness on the school board? It's SOOOOOO mean.

Ashley Carter, I haven't voted yet, and I feel I have learned more on this thread about the candidates than through all my other reading.

No, I don't think anyone believes that.

Now have to ponder whether I watch game 6 or just keep clicking on this thread and looking for news on Ashley Carter. Tough one...

Same, I almost didn't click because I figured it was a just favorite for people that are really super invested in the school board race. So glad I gave it a shot!

My new response to any mistake..."it was my volunteer"

Thanks Ashley!

Not in DC but wondering: did she have any chance of winning before this mistake?

It's the DC school board. Even those who get elected don't really win.

+1. I watched three times when I first saw it. So random!

I didn't like any of the candidates so I skipped it. None of them really spoke to me as an educator. They all seemed "out there" or uninformed about the reality of education.

I wonder if Ashley is just sitting at home hitting refresh on this thread.
