I hate the Pioneer Woman's voice

He can't beleive she gets her own show and cooks nothing more exotic than quesidilla, brownies on a stick or vats of chilie to feed "hard working cowboys".. I will say this, her ranch house is awesome. Love that its so modern out on a ranch in OK.

Are there still those two female TV chefs, one in (Madison?) Wisconsin and one in North or South Carolina? The latter was married to a Jewish man. Or maybe they're the same woman and I'm confused. They always seemed miles more authentic and far superior cooks. I think their shows were on PBS.

I agree. And I think they put a lot of money back into their town and local community. Plus she home schooled 4 kids - I give anyone props for that!

The North Carolina chef is Vivian Howard -- her show was "A Chef's Life," it aired from 2013 to 2018. Unsure if she's still with the husband, I don't see him on her instagram?

Wisconsin (or Minnesota?) chef was perhaps Amy Thielen on "Heartland Table"? https://www.instagram.com/amyrosethielen/

Her kids were educated at home, but not by her. The family hired tutors/teachers -- nothing wrong with that, but it's not as though she did any actual teaching.

I don’t have any backstage knowledge, but on her website she has a post discussing her decision to homeschool and it certainly reads like she did the teaching. Perhaps she started on her own but by the time her kids were doing physics and calculus she needed to hire a tutor 😄.

She has a battalion of staff.

Oh, yeah, I assume that's intentional. The people who write her blog have long worked to make it seem as though she's a superwoman who is also, somehow, just like you, which I assume is a savvy marketing (her major) move. And I wouldn't care so much about the packaged folksiness -- I really do think we should let people like things, as the kids say -- but I worry about readers who think they should be able to do this, too. No, you should not. She has a ton of money at her disposal, and she has always used it to hire people to do all sorts of work. If any of us had that kind of $$$, we'd be able to produce a picture of a perfect life, too.

It’s like Hilaria Baldwin portraying herself as some kind of Wonder Woman single-handedly raising all those kids while the reality is somewhat different, LOL. But there is an audience that laps it up.

She's literally a failed actress who spent like a decade of her life trying to make it in Hollywood. Look it up. Of course she's bullsh*tting her flyover state rube audience.

I bet she never posts her family vacation home(s) or vacations period. Wouldn't want the peasants seeing how trust funders really live.

Her recipes suck. People hate on Rachel Ray but she has lots of good, better than basic recipes. PW's voice is horrible and she ruins the Christmas Cookie show. I think I dislike everyone on that show though.
