Anyone turning down LAMB spot?

Every time somebody turns down a LAMB spot baby Jesus weeps.

I think there may also be implications for the balance of matter vs antimatter in the universe. Am awaiting results from Hadron Collider experiment to verify.

Anything? There is some sort of parent workshop this weekend, so probably there will be some movement after that. And again some movement after May 1st.

I have just been informed that LAMB does not stick to the May 1 enrollment deadline. Parents that were offered a spot have until May 29th to enroll their children. Our DC has a decent spot in the WL, but we were hoping to hear something before May 29 as we have a deposit in at a private and June 1 is the contract binding date....had no idea that LAMB had a later enrollment period.

FYI - extremely unlikely that the parent workshop will affect WL movement one way or the other.

Agreed. More than likely an event for current parents.

parents of newly accepted children are encouraged to attend the parent workshops this weekend. The workshop is held specifically after the lottery in order for parents of newly accepted children to participate. You are part of the school now!

Anyone else not accepting their spot at Lamb?

You Lamb waitlist people are not v. patient! Enroll somewhere by May 1st. You can disenroll later when you get off the list.

It is extremely unlikely that there will be any waitlist movement at all. I agree with PP- enroll at another school and be pleasantly surprised if it happens.

Why would you say that? You realize that just last year the waitlist moved a lot, right?

Sorry, just trying to tell you not to stress out. I totally get why you would though. But you're doing everything you can, and stress won't solve anything.

Sorry if I hurt your feelings.
