The school does get a list. Our principal congratulated our child the next day. |
That's interesting. I've had 2 DC apply and both times the principal asked a parent whose child had also applied to informally ask parents if their child was accepted. Otherwise she did not know number or names of students from our ES who were accepted |
| The letter is dated on March 13 and arrived today. |
| I would really like to know which kids in my child's grade got in but I don't want to ask or have my child ask. |
You'll find out at the open house. |
None of your business. |
| Pretty sad that it's dated 3/13 and I haven't received on 3/18. Just out of curiosity, whats the postal stamp on it say? |
| stamped 3/17 |
Perhaps. My child just wants to know whether her friends got in. |
Can't she ask her friends if they are real her friends ? Maybe, they are her rivals -
|
| Do kids have rivals in 3rd Grade? |
It depends the mindset when competing a limited spots at HGC, they inevitably become rivals. |
The information belongs to them, not your child and not you. |
| Did any one get wait listed? Is there a separate note for that? |
Pretty normal for an 8 year old to care whether her friends will be at her new school. Obviously there is no right to have this information. |
