considering moving to McLean

OP, why are you sold on McLean? There might be other options for you. Is it the commute? To where are you commuting?

PP reflects a certain "sentiment" that others are mentioning. Case in point.

Other than mental illness or serious personal issues, what could be driving a real homeowner in McLean to post such craziness?! Most of us are normal and nice Don't let one poster on an anonymous forum taint your view of a whole town.

9:25 is as close to certifiably insane as you're likely to come across on DCUM. I think you have to trust the OP to overlook her posts.

I'm pretty sure that a statement of opinion about an anonymous post on an Internet forum doesn't qualify as libel, any more than your endless rants about various unnamed residents of McLean and other places. Noting that your posts are nutty is actually putting it rather mildly.

I live in McLean. I've never met any people in real life like the two posters who are bickering. There are plenty of friendly people here. I have no idea why the mere mention of McLean on DCUM always brings out so much vitriol.

Plenty of beautiful neighborhoods, good schools, great commute to different locations. Lots to recommend it.

OP - have you looked at 1206 Perry William Dr? $1.4m. In Evermay, which is a fantastic location. A bit dated, but most of it is just the current owner's stuff. Some cosmetic updates (take down wallpaper, replace carpet) and it could look much better.
