Really freaked out after reading an "Incel" blog

I did some thinking. It is because it's like throwing pearls before swine. Intelligence and decency are useful in societies where a sufficient number of people has these traits and where they are appreciated. Today's these traits are hated and people who have them mocked.

Seriously, think about your place in the world. You have a serious problem if you think you are striking out socially because everyone else can't see how awesome you are.

Imagine life where you are in a loving, committed relationship. Where your neighbors accept you and welcome you as part of the community. Where you come home to a loving family at the end of the day. You could have that if you stopped spinning adolescent failure into your entire world view, warped to make it seem like you are actually in the right and everyone else is in the wrong.

Think about it. It's not as hard as you think to fit in and be loved.

This is a really thoughtful response. This guy "tib" is just lonely and sad. This sense of not belonging has manifested itself into ugliness.

I'm sorry for slinging insults at him, he really just needs a hug and needs to feel some love in his life. When humans never get proper touch and love, many of them turn so bitter and angry. I have to wonder what happened in his relationship with his parents what his childhood was like. I can't imagine that "tib" was born, he was created.

I wish he finds peace in his life one day.

I'm the OP and none of this has made me feel any better about these incel guys and the future. If anything, I am more concerned that this is the first I've heard about them. Why has this flown under my radar? I need to have vastly different conversations with my daughters about boys they may encounter. Never worried about the painfully awkward guys before. Now...on same alert level as the drunk jock.

Girlfriends are objects to "get", and they'll both feel cheated if the women they can, er... acquire aren't suitably "hot". The testoterone-driven drunk jocks rape, and these others kill at worst and spew hateful nonsense at best.

Unattractive does not equal weirdo. They can accompany each other, though usually the unattractive weirdos would look normal if they paid attention to basic hygiene and grooming standards. And I have met a number of attractive guys who quickly revealed themselves to be weirdos.
