| 7:09 Are you currently a librarian or did the Masters in Public Policy take you in a different direction? |
| MS Applied Intelligence applicable to my field and business/law enforcement as well. Great investment, you cannot beat having training in analytics these days. |
| M. of Library Sience. Received a full scholarship, I doubt I'd pay for it out of pocket. Not working in the field anymore, and sincerely hope I'll never have to contemplate going back. |
| Yes - M. of Public Health. Would otherwise have hit a salary/position ceiling a long time ago. |
To this PP, may I ask what type of work you do? I don't have an MA but have contemplated going back for one as I re-enter the work force after being a SAHM for quite a while. Geography fascinates me (and I worked for a time on the editorial side at National Geographic) but I am not sure what employment prospects would be be out there with a degree in geography, especially if I am trying to find something part time. |
| Masters in Urban and Regional Planning. It has been very worthwhile. I'm a local government planner. My job doesn't pay a huge salary, but is very stable with good benefits. |
| Nope - Master's in International Affairs. Has absolutely no impact at all on my current position in Government Affairs. Total waste of money. |
| Another Masters in Library and Information Science. It did have an impact because I could not work where I work, in a library as an collections development librarian, without it. Sort of like a green card, I guess. |
This was my undergrad major and considering going back for a Master's. PP, what school did you get your Master's from? Am curious. |
| I have a JD, but also a Master's in Public Policy, which I love. |
I would also like to know about this. |
