Is there an alternative DCUM-like forum for non-rich?

Cut off cable, rent out a room, stop buying starbucks, offer $45 dollar hand-jobs in the Harris Teeter car park, and sell your kidney?

Love that you put stop buying starbucks and selling kidneys in the same sentence.
Brilliant!!!

Wow, this thread went downhill quickly. The Becky-Jennifer back and forth is exactly what is wrong with DCUM.

Meanwhile, I found this comment on another thread:
"Why don't you go back to wherever it is in flyover country you come from? I'm sure you can have a lovely car-bound existence in your 4000sf bland box and be very happy. Oh wait, they are hurting for jobs there."

And there was another comment from someone tracking the growing numbers of white students in different suburban school districts, because, "there's no white poverty in the 'burbs." The point was that the more white people in the school, the better it must be.

There's gotta be a market for a more reasonable forum for this area.

There is white poverty in the suburbs, just not much of it in Arlington or Fairfax County, where the poor tend to be non-white. I was just noting the correlation between schools near Metro stations and schools with an increasing number of white students, in response to another poster who'd claimed no one wants to be near Metro stations.

Maybe you do need to start your own forum, for those with especially thin skins.

Life must be difficult for you with zero sense of humor.

PP

You do understand that the Jennifer - Becky back and forth was a parody of DCUM, right?

PP. fair warning but "Clarendon Skank" of arlnow .com fame has the Harris Teeters covered in Arlington. Don't even try to go up against her. She has all the bouncers from Clarendon bars in her corner -- erh -- I mean bed
