most if not all washer leaks are caused by leaking rubber hoses. If you swap them out with braided metal hoses and check them one a year and if you are truly paranoid replace them every 5, you should never have an issue. Make sure you use a water arrestor ($9@home depot) to reduce any water pipe hammers from the washing machine.
