If you are pro-life, what is your religious affiliation?

Thank you, this was helpful. I still find it odd that my family sits through sermons and recites creeds they don't believe. It just seems hypocritical and pointless.

And as a Catholic I am sorry if what is said by people that represent the Catholic church make you feel like an abomination. That is directly against the teachings of God.. do unto others.

You are just like the rest of us, made in the image of God and if you are athiest you are still one of nature's creatures. We all just need to learn to be more kind.

I also don't want to judge others for their beliefs because that is between them and God. So it may seem pointless to me or to you but I don't really know one person that doesn't do something I think is pointless... like yelling at the tv when your football team is losing. (That would be my H.)

Thank you again. I like you. And I hope your H isn't a Redskins fan.

Of course he is... that is why he is always yelling. (I like you too. Best wishes with your family.)

I am prolife and not religious. I believe in science and believe that life begins at conception. Just because that new life is small and out of view does not mean it is not there. Based on human biology the safest place for a growing baby should be inside of the mother. It is human problems and ideas of society that cause women to end the lives of their own babies.

Your comment is not congruent with the biological sciences.

Sure, it is.

In biological and scientific terms, what exactly is a "baby?"

What would you ban? IVF? Plan B -- even though it prevents conception just like the pill? What's your limit?

I did not say I would ban anything but I think young women are brainwashed into thinking that life does not begin at conception. It has nothing to do with a soul or religion, it is a biological fact. I was prochoice, raised by a baby boomer generation that preached if you were pro life you were a religious zealot and anti- woman. (which I was neither) Just taking a few biology and anatomy classes I realized that it either is or isn't a baby growing from the beginning. Having my own first sonogram at 6 weeks convinced me further. I know there are terrible circumstances where a mother has to choose between her life or the babies or women are raped and they may feel suicidal if they were forced to have the baby. But many women believe that it is nothing to have an abortion and it is just sad. Women say," well it is my body". But unfortunately for the baby you are the only one that can choose to protect it.

Is every living cell in my body a "baby?" What valuations or measures are you using to define "life" and/or "baby?"

Did your smart phone write "Chapeau" or does it have some relevance I am missing?
