What do you think of Anne Hathaway?

While on the topics of actresses I LOVE - Claire Daines is my new favorite. She IS pretty, she CAN act, and is smart. You can tell by how polished her speech was last night - unless of course it was all rehearsed seeing these people get paid to make us believe them.

Ok, just watched both acceptance speeches and completely agree. Anne is beyond annoying. Total archetypal theater geek who is trying WAY too hard to sound intelligent and failing miserably. I do think she's kind of pretty though.
Claire is beautiful and obviously smart.

Except Claire cheated with a married co-star. Lost all respect for that. Now she is married and a mom. Hope karma bites her in the ass.

Danes cheated with mark ruffalo shortly after he got his longtime girlfriend Mary Louise Parker pregnant. She is scum.

If you're going to play that game, you might actually want to get your gossip straight: it was Billy Crudup, and I think he should come in for more blame than Danes. Crudup was, after all, the one in the relationship.

She also has a little bit of the fake humbleness thing going on and I find that irritating too. I do think she's pretty.

+1. Funny, this topic come up at work today and I couldn't phrase it as well as the pp above. "I will use this golden globe to (crush)my self-doubt" or whatever she said. It just came off as acting humble not actually being humble.

And I actually agree with your original point. I LOVE me some Homeland, but Claire Danes is not the end-all-be-all everyone claims she is. I don't actually find her all that attractive, and now I'm pretty sure she isn't human to be back in such a skin tight dress just weeks after delivering a baby.

I cannot stand AH. I don't find her remotely attractive and find her stunningly annoying. Her acting is average at best.

He wasn't married.

his girlfriend, Mary Louise Parker, was 8 months pregnant. i love homeland too, but can't stand clare danes either. i thought she looked super unkempt and her gown was boring. (but i didn't look that good 1 month post-partum, so i'm slightly jealous.)

anne takes her role as ingenue (inherited from Natalie Portman) a bit too seriously. the false modesty is annoying. but i think she's pretty.

Man here.

Pretty-yes
Talented- The bar is so low these days, so yes.
Annoying- No...only judging by her Daily Show interviews. Jon Stewart LOVED her.

Flaky- I don't think so.

Am I a fan? Not really. I can take her or leave her.

I think she was prettier when she was younger, now she's just way too skinny.

Talent? I don't know, she seems to be doing a relatively decent job in comedies, but I don't think drama is her strong suit.

She is not aging well. Pretty when she was younger. Now she's interesting looking, but not really pretty. She is also one of those who looks 10 years older than she is, so watch out for 35, Annie.

She looks like a clown.

Exactly. All her features are exaggerated and too large to fit on her small face. Her personality is exaggerated too. She's always "on". Everything she says is rehearsed. Fake.

No one can pull off very short hair like Halle Barry, so that's not even a fair standard. I think Anne Hathaway looks good with the short hair and I love Michelle Williams with it. I loved, loved Gwyneth Paltrow's very short hair several years ago.

I get frustrated with the idea that somehow long hair is always superior. Often it is, sometimes it's not. Frankly, I think if that idea were not so popular, more women would have hairstyles that actually flattered their faces.

Women outside the US are sporting such a wide variety of haircuts.
