I'm the "weirded out" poster. One fairly common name, not a problem. Two or more names, no way. I don't need my co-workers outing my DCUM habit. :p

I feel the same way. I have 4 kids. They are all pretty common names (in the top 20 for the last decade or so) but all together, I think would "out me."

Aren't you forgetting The Other Larry?

Wow, we had similar trains of thought naming our children.

I have Larry, Darryl and my other son Darryl.

Krystel, J.Me, Shatwanda (the "t" is silent) and Lorla (not to be confused with Larla)

It's so lame when people don't think outside of the box when naming their child. I want my children to be unique and naming them something special is one of the best ways to do it.

haven't read through the posts

But my daughter's name is Marissa. Mom actually gave me the idea.

Why are you so worried about being "outed"? At most, you're outed on one post- the one telling what your kids' names are. It's not like anyone would know after that which posts are yours.

My daughter's name is Channing.

Just "Girl" for the second one? Too tired to think of anything else?

Some of us deny knowing about the existence of DCUM at all, so just being outed as being here would make us uncomfortable. I know that I read any posts about our neighborhood or bordering towns carefully to see if I can identify any neighbors and try not to reveal my identity in any posts here.

Very odd. I have a couple friends who read/post here and every so often we'll ask each other "Did you see ____ thread? How crazy did that get?" What's so embarrassing about admitting you read DCUM? You don't have to take credit for any of the crazy posts, even if they're yours!

Again, if I were your neighbor, I'd out you.
