What is your guess on this man's net worth?

I think the OP voted for Obama and would like to see some redistribution of wealthy so a ladder of opportunity is created for his sister.

Don't worry OP, just ignore them.

OP, I know your boss. I will ask for a raise for you/ your sister. I am sure he will be pleased that I know so much about him.

no it's not. someone just has to pay taxes on it.

And only after you exceed the $5 million lifetime exemption. Of course, the individual in question can give $13,000 per year each to his children, their spouses, and his grandchildren. I've lost track, but it sounds like there are at least two children, who I presume have spouses, and four grandchildren. So he can give 8 x $13,000 or $104K per year without any tax penalty.

op is saying he gives each kid 10k MONTHLY. Don't think she knows what she's talking about.

My friend's father gives his sons and daughters enough tuition money to pay for their childrens' private school.

Each one has at least one kid; there are 9 in the family.

Is THAT illegal considering private school tuition is $30K?

Exempt if paid directly to the school, subject to the gift tax laws if not.

I am someone who is trying to help my sister, who is a nanny and I think she is being taken advantage of and taking care of this person's in question two grandchildren for peanuts. The daughter is not working and the son is in grad school (not working). The daughter is divorced and came here from abroad with her baby to stay with her brother. My sister is in a tough spot and get's paid $1,150 per month as a live-in nanny of the two toddlers,--a 17-month old and a 2-year old. I think she should be getting at least 2,500.

That's all. I want to know what her bargaining leverage is as her DB and his sister are saying they don't don't work....My sister has no health insurance or other perks.

The market dictates nanny rates, not employer net worth. If she wants more money, she is free to find another job that pays more.

God, OP, you are REALLY stupid if you don't understand this. Either that, or you think Walmart should pay its cashiers $600,000 a year because the Walton heirs are among the richest people in America, so OBVIOUSLY those cashiers have some bargaining leverage

Wow. The first sentence alone would have worked just fine. What does the second one add?

First, it’s paragraph, not sentence. Second, the PP just wrote what everyone else was thinking.
