any other gamer moms out there?

Which MMO? I still play a little bit of WoW but not so much since DS and DH have moved on to SWOTR and the new Diablo. I tried SWOTR, it was kinda 'meh' for me.

Order and Chaos online, for iPad and iPod. Not as fantastic as WoW but great for mobile gaming. I can't sit and PC game anymore. I got sucked into the social aspect, became a guild officer, and most importantly became an expert troller. Sigh...good times.

Our guild is so quiet now, everyone playing Diablo or BF3 while waiting on the Xpak to come out. We all get on TS though just to chill together. I like some of the in game trollers, they tend to be funny.

What game are you playing?

I'm curious and I hope this won't be taken the wrong way but ... do you guys have other hobbies like playing jazz trumpet or reading tons of books? The reason I ask is that our neighbor is a gamer and he's about the most shallow person you'd every want to meet, never picks up a book, and is an obnoxious jerk to boot. I actually want to hear that some of you are reading Milton or Didion or that you collect stamps or play a rockin' guitar, too!

I like to read (tons) bake, cook, and exercise. I am sure the other gamer moms have other interests as well.

LOL, IRL (in real life) I'm an executive at fairly large local company. I read (a lot), schlepp my kids all over kingdom come for sports, school and other activities. I love to travel, DH and I are into wine and do attend a number of events related to that. I wish I could play a cool instrument but outside of high school band I can't say that I do . I love to swim and spend time at the backyard pool. I throw a mean dinner party, Christmas at my house is legendary among the family and, for the most part, the kids, pets, house and laundry are clean.

I game DH and a diverse group of other adults who, like me, are parents, employees, spouses and friends first and gamers second. After a long stressful day and horrible commute its fun to just make shit dead after the kids go to bed!!

Oh, forgot to add, like PP above, I bake A LOT, love to cook and do spend a lot of time in the kitchen (but in a good way, not slaving away at a hot stove way) I love to cook nice, fresh and healthy food. I should add, my kids are 13 (almost 14) and 9 so I'm not doing the toddler chase. It would be nearly impossible to game with really little kids.

I also read, bake, swim, travel- love movies. I am somewhat lazy about planning big social events and have two young kids and a limited childcare budget. I am definitely not reading Milton, but I'm not reading Twilight either. Many of my guild mates are ordinary people that are looking for some easy socialization...

That's us. Our guild is an adult guild. We do have 2 kids that play a lot with us, one is my DS and he's NEVER been one of those jerky teenagers you see in game. The other kid is 17 and he's very mature as well. Being what we call a "family" guild, the language on TS is kept clean. Though we are geographically dispersed, we consider ourselves to be friends IRL and in game. It is nice.

But I do know the types of gamers you mention. Some people are just way too into it. IMO, you can't be hard core and have much of a life. Your neighbor sounds hard core. We're called casual.

I love Dragon Age! I've played through the first a couple times and and just finished the 2nd. Loved it even with all of the obvious programming shortcuts. I'm just going to have pine away for DA3 until it gets released. Until then I'm going to start on Dues Ex - hopefully it's as good as the first two.

I know a lot of people who love Dragon Age. It looks cool but I don't have enough time for more than one game.
