Lots of people believe in the standard moral basis of Christianity. Jesus didn't make any statements about abortion, or homosexuality, or contraception. He did say a few things about taking care of the poor, though. I don't think Jesus would have criticized Caesar for giving food to poor people.

Keep telling yourself they and eventually you'll believe it

I read the bible over and over. You must be taking your lessons from someone other than Jesus.

You must be reading the libtard version of the bible that doesn't include how gays, abortion are moral sins.

The one absolutely clear statement about homosexual acts is Leviticus 18:22, which tells what the Lord told Moses. Now, as a (nominal) Jew, I don't say this to to put Moses down, but as the first PP said, he ain't Jesus! BTW, the Lord did not say anything about Lesbians, did He? So I guess half of same sex marriages are okay?

Well as someone who considers people who are mentally retarded to be persons, I do not appreciate your "libtard" comment.

But I would like to know how exactly you decide which Old Testament Law is revoked, and which is renewed, after the arrival of Jesus?

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you?" You are going to use THIS as the entire justification for God's law on abortion? Oh brother.

If God's will is behind every pregnancy, then he's got a lot of explaining to do, and don't tell me the answer is that "The Lord works in mysterious ways".

i dont believe people like you exist.

unless you are extremely moderate, even more so than mccain, collins i dont see a republican voting for obama. even then i think people like you are a unicorn.

mind you i havent read the other comments so you could have already exposed yourself as a troll or liar

OP here. Brace yourself, I exist and I use proper punctuation. Not only that - I can spell! If you really can't imagine why I would vote to keep President Obama in the White House, then you obviously haven't been watching the 20 Republican debates, can't read very well, and/or have slept through most of the past four (4) years. Yes, he is not perfect, but considering the alternatives I have to say, at least he now has four (4) years of experience and he has not screwed the pooch on anything major.

This is precisely why you should vote because there will be a lot of people who won't vote and Santorum could become president. Terrifying prospect and why, even though I live in VA, I will have to vote for the lesser of two evils, Obama. Three hundred plus million population and these are our choices. God help us!

OP again - thank you! That is exactly how I feel.

OP- I admire you giving thought to this and not voting strictly down party lines, as so many do.

And to another PP- many of us who have family members with disabilities find the "tard" reference offensive. Please use your intelligence and don't lower yourself to name calling or using derogatory terms like that. "Liberal version" would have suited just fine in your comment and would have gotten the point across just as clear.

I was wavering on whether I'd find the courage to even go to the polls this year. The whole birth control thing got me fired up. What a stupid can of worms the GOP opened. You bet I'm voting for O this year.

Obama hasn't even started running against them. He's just laying groundwork, while the Republicans are providing him free research on the weaknesses of each Republican candidate. Last night we learned that Santorum stumbles when he gets certain questions about his voting record.

So by that reasoning you acknowledge that the economy isn't Obama's fault. Thank you.

I hope the ticket is Obama vs. Anal froth. Guaranteed Democratic victory!

Economy reacts much quicker than the neglect and decline of military

Pointless, national polls are meaningless. Look at the state polls. Electoral college. Santorum numbers are falling by the day and after his debate performance....well he was for pork before he was against it. He seemed so not prepared...he did a Newt. Mitt beats him by 10 in MI.
