Why do people here bash suburbia when most of the NW DC moms live in what is essentially the burbs?

I live in the suburbs, always have. If you want to live in a noisy, dirty neighborhood, or if you have no choice, okay. Doesn't make you better because you look down on suburbanites.

I'm from suburban NW. I don't like the burbs because the people I met there were unbearable snobs. SEriously?? I live in Gaithersburg and have lived in Rockville. I have never ever heard ANYONE talk in the manner you describe above except for maybe back in High School Are you serious?? The whining of the cost of college education is a legit issue by the way. I have heard that complaint from all my friends, including those who live in DC!

Yes, whining about the cost of college education is a legit issue, but don't whine about it while you're wasting money on designer clothes or try to justify why it's a necessity when your child's college education isn't funded. It's funny you mention Rockville cause that's where one of the moms is from. Like I said, not all suburbanites are like this, but the women I met just annoyed me.
