Became a mom ... and couldn't lose the baby weight but don't care all that much because my DS is so worth it. My heart is bursting with how much I love that sweet boy! Also, I quit my job without having a new one first but it has enabled me time to stay home for a bit with the aforementioned baby boy!

Parent of 13 year old here who has always had a flair for the dramatic- sometimes they say things without knowing the weight of what they are saying. I would investigate, but its likely just the extreme upset feeling of a lost dog.

13 year old parent back. I would definitely seek out therapy - we did this ourselves a few years back, and teaching kids to express feelings appropriately can offer some help. Cognitive behavioral therapy was (and continues to be) a helpful investment.
