I wouldn’t have a problem doing this for a neighbor……it seems that you are already friendly w/her plus like you stated - - it might be a fun activity for her to do along w/her Grandchild too.

And that is good that you will pay her > to show her how much you appreciate her favor. 💐

My neighbor has requested this of me and it stressed me out because I felt like she would blame me if her plants suffered in the heat. I did it, but it was stressful. One more thing for me to look after.

I wouldn’t be offended by this at all. If I were the asker, I wouldn’t offer to pay but would bring neighbor a small gift, maybe a food item from my trip.
