Going forward, all of them. It used to be you had to pass 1 in each core subject, but now you must take one each year.

Is this for real? So kids need to take SOL for each core course every year until they graduate high school?
So in math all the way until Algebra 2? None of the AP courses require SOL though, correct?

Correct. They are not inventing additional SOLs, but if you are enrolled in an SOL course sophomore or junior year you will take the exam, vs today when your freshman score would get you out of it.

Per my kids' high school website, this is what I think will be required if your child is on the usual Algebra I in 7th grade track:

7th grade
Algebra I
Reading

8th grade
Geometry
Reading and Writing
Science

9th grade
Algebra II
Science (specifically whatever your kid takes this year, could be biology or physics or earth science).

11th grade
Reading and Writing (even if they are in AP English or Lit, still have to take this and it must count toward final grade).

Don't take my word as final. This is just what I can see for our high school online.

There are no SOL tests for Physics. In science, it will be Biology, Chemistry and Earth Science
