The IDF provided The Times of Israel with a video documenting the toddler’s handover to the Red Cross.

Israelis have been torturing Palestinian children and using them as human shields for years. Here's a UN report from 2013 with multiple documented incidents of the IDF using Palestinian children as shields, including holding a 9 year old at gunpoint and forcing them to search bags for suspected explosives.

This family should consider themselves lucky. There's wide spread reports of kids being abducted by the IDF both in Gaza and in West Bank and never seen again. Probably being trafficked.

The only people who deny that this is how Israel is really are are the ones who have not been to Israel or who are lying. Having spent a lot of time with that country, I finally decided some years ago never to go back because I couldn't deal with the hatred that just pours out of Israelis. They were very kind to me because I'm Jewish, but I couldn't shake the revulsion and sense of the surreal that came from hearing people in daily life so casually advocate other people's deaths. They hate all Arabs and all Muslims, and have very racist views of Africans (including fellow Jews who are African) and Asians, especially South Asians and Southeast Asians.

He was never charged with a crime.

Israel is still keeping his body, over a year after his death.

I am aware that Hamas returned all the hostage bodies.

Are you aware that in the agreement, Israel returned hundreds of Palestinian bodies? That the bodies were returned without any identification and than many were decomposed past the point of being able to being identified? That Palestinian families gathered at morgues and sifted through images of bodies trying to find any kind of identifying feature of their loved ones? Are you aware that many of the bodies showed signs of torture?

Are you aware that Israel still holds hundreds and hundreds of Palestinian bodies? Many just like this boy who died without ever being charged of any crime.
