If you enjoy reading thrillers then I have an excellent recommendation for you.

I just completed reading “She Didn’t See It Coming” by Shari Lapena.

I have read a few of her previous novels but this one is by far her best work.

The story gripped me and I could barely put this book down…..
Showering, eating, working, sleeping……be damned!
Lol!

This story was captivating, compelling + very very unpredictable.
And if you love a good ending this book does not disappoint!

No spoilers ~ A perfect family lives in a condo unit, two attractive & successful parents have a wonderful, beautiful 3YO little girl and are trying for another baby.
They have a great marriage, friends as well as close family.
Then one day out of the clear blue - the Mother simply vanishes.
She does not show up to pick up her little girl from her daycare and there is no sign of her.
She loved her child and husband very much and would NEVER leave them.

This story is packed with intense suspense and so many surprises that I felt like I was on a rollercoaster 🎢 just by reading it.

Definitely five stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Now I've started The Irish Goodbye by Heather Aimee O'Neill - Irish American family deals with the long term fall out of a boating accident in their teenage years, and the ripple affects through everyone's lives.

Finished this one. It's just okay for me - three stars.

Now on to The Correspondent, I'm 20% in and enjoying it.

Finished Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay and moved right into The Story of the Lost Child.

These are the last two of the Neapolitan Novels of Elena Ferrante. I started reading the quartet when I saw that the first, My Brilliant Friend, was voted #1 book of the 21st Century so far by the NYT and I hadn't even heard of it. So glad I'm reading them.

Just finished The Mad Wife. 4/5. Can’t say much without spoiling things.

Now I’m reading book two of a guilty pleasure Romantasy series, The Half-Hearted Queen.

Just finished Endling by Maria Reva. I loved it, but I’m still unpacking the narrative twists and turns in my head.

Am about to finish On the Hippie Trail by Rick Steves. It’s his travel journal from the 70s—going from Turkey to India. It is such a fun read!

Just finished The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende and absolutely loved it. One of the best books I’ve read in a very long time.

Girl With a Pearl Earring

Historical fiction takes place in 17th century Delft. A 16year old girl becomes a maid in the household of Johannes Vermeer.

Easy read, 232 pages. Loved this book (have not seen the movie)
