Qatar has been a strong American ally for a decade now, has been instrumental in holding peace talks regarding the Hamas war, and has supported American interests in the Middle East.

The US has partnered with many other allies (and even some less-then-allies) repeatedly to train their military personnel. But suddenly when it is a nation that is Muslim it’s a problem? Suddenly now you are making baseless comparisons between private flying schools training Al Qaida linked islamists decades ago with the US training an ally’s troops as part of a specific program.
