Keep in mind the score and TO data is out of data. It is for the class of '28, applied in the fall of '23 mere months after the SCOTUS decision and before more colleges went back to test required (Cal Tech went from test blind to SAT and AP scores required).
Class of '29 CDS data may be quite a bit different in terms of median scores and percent enrolled TO |
| most schools we visited said to check SAT/ACT scores from pre-TO timeframe - so 2018-2020 - for more reasonable score ranges to report! Dont look at last year, it's over inflated. |
Good advice! Also some schools have announced already they will be test required in another year or two so they're signalling test score matters. 1400+ - possibly submit if 700+ for each section 1500+ - definitely submit everywhere |

I do not believe that many colleges are going to split hairs over a 10-20 point difference in (combined) SAT scores. That small a difference is a small fraction of one percentile.
For that matter, most college admissions folks should know that the difference between 98th percentile and 99th is not statistically meaningful. YMMV. |
their institution priority is to fake pump up the numbers, therefore they do care about 10 points here and there |
I mean if you got a 1400, you would have a 700+ on at least one section soooo.... |
PP here, you are right. I meant 700+ for both sections not just one .. whoops! |
Nonsense |
