"Holistic Admissions"... translation: we'll do whatever we feel like and...

There are no clear "rules" or standards for admission. Two seemingly identical applicants can have two very different outcomes, leading to very logical feelings of unfairness.

They are essentially building a caste system by skin color. If you are Asian, you are the untouchables. Every bar is suddenly raised so high.

This gets so boring after a while. We have no affirmative action. If your kid didn’t get in, boohoo, they’ll be fine at the next school.

No matter what, they will always feel like they got the raw end of the deal; that they deserved better; that all the headwinds were on them. It's really a sad way to live life. I would never want to raise my kids with this attitude.

Racists have been saying this to Jews for years.

You and PP are currently worked up because poor kids are getting access to a college education. I’m sorry but no one wants to hear about your racial struggles if it’s just to assert your wealth and entitlement.

That's pretty much it, right? Mainly it seems to be a term used as a catch-all CYA by the admissions office at many schools around the country.

Did you write this post also?
If so, follow the advice others are giving in the reddit post for your daughter. Your kid was too one-dimensional and boring. Its not what T20 AO are looking for.

lol
Except my Asian kids and sometimes 25-30% others manage to get in!

Based on the percentages of Asians at all the top schools, y'all are doing okay. Admissions teams don't care about the cultural pressure you all put on each other to go to a handful of "good" schools.

Seriously, AA is dead. Everything is supposed to be fine now, right? I think lots of these folks honestly believe their kids are superior so they should be taking over the most selective schools. Pretty gross really. Sorry some of you may just have to “settle” for Carnegie Mellon instead is MIT. My heart breaks for you.

Holistic admissions is a system invented to keep out high-achieving Jewish students. Now it is being used to limit the number of Asians admitted.

False.

Asians aren't exceptional students or anything.

But is this enough to cause these groups to draw the obvious conclusion that they should stop voting for and giving money to Democrats, who are the architects and beneficiaries of racial grievance-mongering politics and race-based admissions? Not so far. Time to wake up, folks!

Anyone can attend college. There isn't a true hierarchy of universities in this country, so there is no need to rank kids by numbers and claim someone "deserves" to go to school A or B more that some other applicant.

Keep who out of where exactly?

Harvard invented holistic admissions in the 1920s in order to limit the number of Jewish students admitted.
