Why would the ER ask about your ancestry?

Just Google CMS and REA - it is effective immediately and mandatory in 2028.

Depends on the issue. It would not make sense for a say a broken arm, but if they are trying to figure out an illness, some or disorder some are more common among certain ethnic groups. Also it's important to find out if you traveled abroad recently. Did they ask that?

I say this as someone who did a bunch of genetic testing before having kids because my ethnic group has an increased likelihood of some things.

But I was here last month and they didn’t ask me these questions.

The two new questions that jumped out are:

1. What country were you born in?

2. What is your ancestry?

Then, it's a MAGA thing.

Black people are losing jobs for being black, and that is not making the news. Trump is threatening funding for organizations unless they hire straight white males first.

None of these say what you claim they are saying.

If they ask about ancestry what kind of answer are they looking for?

My Great great grandparents came from Italy, Germany, Wales, and Scotland. Is that what they are asking about?
