| Hopefully DC can start doing congestion pricing and maybe even split it 50/50 with the feds, DOGE will love that. |
| Well they’re trying to push everyone out of government, so there may be fewer people. |
I won't take metro unless the government wants to include metro parking in my subsidy. Otherwise the flexibility and free parking (even with the cost of gas) is a better deal. |
Free parking? You are lucky. |
Well, you are the odd man out. Telework in my agency didn't start until covid. And, yes, it has been abused. As a supervisor, I'm glad it's over. |

I don't know. Elon demonstrated with Twitter that 80% of tech employees are unnecessary. There may be quite a few more turnstile jumpers than you may think. |
Then drive to work or take a boss and don't keep on giving excuses in how you can't RTO. I could see people not committed or passionate to do their job if they go out of their way to justify WFH and that's what administration is after. |
after laying off majority of employees at Twitter, it is doing just fine. Bloat is crazy in Fed. |

There are literally bidding wars at high end office buildings in Manhattan right now.
Everyone there is back pretty much back. Guess what people make it work or they quit and get a job closer to home or find a rare remote job. |
|
Here a DC worker in a nutshell.
His Gardner - Can I work from home? No His Main - Can I work from home? No His Garabageman - Can I work from home? No His Starbucks Barista - Can I work from home? No Boss asks them to come to office, How dare you! |
Same. |
| Of course. This is silly. Those offices and buildings and parking garages were there way before 2020 when everyone went home. They didn't demolish them. Come on honey, just go to work. |
My job is spreadsheets. How is that different in the office? |
People in Manhattan don't have apartments big enough to work from home. We do, for the most part. |
