She can’t even help it—She’s just such a narcissist that views herself as having godlike status. I think she honestly couldn’t fathom that any business wouldn’t just drop everything to fill an order of bake goodies for a CELEBRITY such as herself….so she assumed the whole malfunctioning boiler thing was an excuse for not wanting do it out of dislike for or political disalignment with her. And then that bias was “confirmed” when the assistant called again closer to the date and was able to go in and pick up enough treats for the show.
Whoopi was pissed, but what she failed to comprehend was that the store owner did not want to commit to fulfilling such a high-profile order if she wasn’t 100% sure she could delivery. So she passed on the “opportunity”—and Whoopi roasted her for it.
