Clothes packing list for boy going to school in Boston?

One nice outfit is good to have. Things come up that they don’t anticipate. Just a pair of khakis, button down, tie, belt shoes, navy sport coat. Happened to mine and really glad he had.
Guys like shackets lately (flannel shorts to wear over ts. Fleece lined sometimes)
Ofc shower shoes and slides too

There is no way to generalize that. Mine needing nice clothes as part of an honors program for events and dinners. Much less any social, interviews for internships, etc.

I hope you know you are undermining interest in getting educated in Boston. Isn't the point to learn how to flex that (probably just Ralph Lauren invented) Ivy League/NE rich person aesthetic?

If everyone looks like Mark Wahlberg's nephew, then hard pass.
