Just as obvious as all the predictions here about acquittal I suppose.

People were being naively optimistic, but it was pretty obvious as the judge would make rulings and the venue/where the jury pool came from that this wasn’t going to be a fair trial.

Yeah, Trump really should have picked a different state than New York to crime in. They already knowball about his ubiquitous tax fraud and false business records.

I guess you missed the story about how a conviction would cost him independent voters.

If by story you mean fairy tale

Of his peers. As it should be.

Lots of ketchup flying around tonight and Trump’s lawyers can forget about getting paid now. “They did such a terrible job”

His lawyers must be thrilled since that’s how they’re being paid.

He’s a NY’er. He was tried IN NY. A jury of fellow NYers found him guilty. There’s no way to spin this.

They set Trump sentencing for July 11th, four days before the Republican National Convention begins. It’s all so transparently dirty.

But, don't worry, the Republicans are all about "law and order." Liars, cheaters, douchebags. MAGA!

This is how democracy dies…to thunderous applause.

Sad sad day.

The union hasn’t been more divided since the 1860s…and now we have turned into a facial state

If he actually loses 10% of republicans, that's the election right there. Not sure I believe it though.

Lot of Guilty by a unanimous verdict going on.

Won’t change anything, but it’s nice to see.

but . . guilty of what? Oh! that's too inconvenient for you to come up with a charge .... I see

What? We don't have to "come up with the charge". That's what the prosecutor presented to the jury. It is a matter of public record. You can read them here.

You're half right. We are divided, yes. But we respect the rule of law. No man is above it.
