Do you own these? They are really adorable and I ordered them and the fit is really odd. Gave the to my mother who is also a size 8 but a different shaped foot - she also said they were awful.

Haven't found anything I like better but I can't figure out how anyone fits into these!

NP I have a thin foot and most flip flop straps are too loose, making them tiring to walk in. I am trying these because the straps can be adjusted on both sides:

I normally wear high end designer shoes and brought those for restaurants and a couple of events, but during the day, the crocs saved me as I hate wearing sneakers with dresses.

Yep, I wear these all the time! One of my more comfortable shoes. I actually recommended them in another sandal thread a while back but it wasn't well received, so glad some on here think otherwise!

These are surprisingly comfortable and dress up or down very well. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B2FB8VZW/

But the people on here who act horrified clearly just don’t like them aesthetically…which is fine! Don’t wear them! But they are objectively “fashionable”—as in, the sort of thing fashion magazines show and celebrities wear, and have been for many years.
+1. They are so comfortable and healed my plantar fasciitis

Anonymous wrote:The wedges by Andres Assous are very comfortable and I walk all over in mine. I am always on the hunt for walkable summer sandals that do not look orthopedic. The Charleston Shoe company has comfortable ones too. I always choose wedges for walking, and there are so many at different price points.

If I am standing around more, I like a block heel sandal like this:

or a cute kitten heel one.

Look- I love my birks at the beach, but when I wear birks I feel like I am 80 and have given up. Don’t people want to look cute and a little fashionable?

Those metallic block heels are hideous!

And who would choose to "walk around all day" in heels as their go to summer comfort shoe?
+2. They will tip your hips

I LOVE the Rockaway styles and the Bergen and Astoria are also great. I have the Rockaway in 4 different colors, they are comfortable enough to walk all day and they go with everything. I've worn them all over Europe and in NYC throughout the summer.

Not the OP but I wanted to bump this up to thank you for the recommendation- just got a pair of the Rockaways and love them! I had been struggling to find a new pair of flat black sandals that fit and are comfy (my feet are a tad narrow. These checked both boxes! Tempted to order anywhere color lol.

Stuart Weitzman
ATP
Broken-in Jack Rogers (probably divisive, but they’ve been my go-to for 20+ yrs)

Jack Rogers? You must be very thin and petite with narrow feet. Each step is like having a wood plank with exposed nails hammered into the soles of your feet.

Yay I’m so glad this was helpful for someone! They’re so good, right?

I got these and out of the box walked all afternoon at a giant outdoor garden and they were great. They are very casual but very comfortable. From now on these are my art fair/garden tour/summer afternoon walking outing shoes. To me they look like something an older lady wearing capri pants would wear but hey - gotta know my truth i guess

I have a wide long foot and a bunion.

PP here who ordered them above.

I may join you!

So far these are just my sandals for inside. So comfortable for tasks that require standing for long periods of time.

I accidentally ordered too big the first time and gave them to my daughter who has plantar fascitis. She is using them for her inside shoes too.

Not sure this was mentioned before, but Birkenstock Sibyl sandals look stylish enough even though they are Birks (well, Papillio but it's the same company). Lots of color options available.
