+2 As for rats, y'all have to get out more. |

DH went to tufts and loved it. It was definitely not his first choice school. As others have said, it is for kids who don’t quite make it to Harvard but still very strong students. He was able to enjoy a medium sized school feel while being able to hang out in Boston on weekends.
You can think of it as the best of both worlds. DH spent a lot of time studying and went on to med school. He has friends who went on to law, med school and international relations. His friends have done very well professionally. |
| I was one of the two posters who reported roaches. To be clear, both reports were from summer programs, 2022 in our case. It could have been a fluke. |
Any structure could have pests. We live in a multi million dollar home and have the exterminator come multiple times per year and we always have ants. I’m pretty sure any college has some pests at some point. |
|
My first night at Penn an army of roaches came marching down the wall as I was going to sleep. My mother, who was in a hotel after move-in, told me I had to come home with her. Lol I did not withdraw and we did get the roaches under control!

The roaches from colleges in the Boston area have a prestigious summer workshop at Tufts. They are supposed to share lessons learned on topics like surviving insecticides & escaping spider webs. But typically the Harvard roaches dominate the discussions, the BC roaches won’t leave the bar, & nobody wants to talk to the MIT roaches. The Northeastern roaches always want to talk about their co-op program, but typically nobody cares. |
💯 Also, you are wasting your talents posting on this board. |
