I am genuinely curious for those who golf, what you think about the distance to the road, the sidewalk, and the lack of any kind of meaningful fencing. Again, I don't golf but there are lots of golf courses in moco and I don't remember any of them being placed so close to a road and a very well traveled side walk/bike path.

Northwest Golf Course is right on Layhill Road just north of Bel Pre Road. No netting. I’ve never heard of anyone getting hit by golf balls but maybe it happens. Those of us that live in the area definitely don’t consider it a hazard.

+1 I grew up off Layhill directly across from NW. Never have errant balls been an issue, not then and not now. Actually OP I think you should play the lottery because the chances of your windshield being hit by a ball while your car is in motion is pretty darn low. If you're steadfast in going after them then go to the pro shop and explain what happened.

OP said a golf course, not Top Golf.

What do you in all your infinite wisdom propose doing with the land?

Houses, parks, schools, natural habitat? Basically anything other than a golf course that has a sky high environmental impact and is a nuisance. Are you actually saying we would have trouble finding a use for golf course lands in moco?
. Oh sure houses and schools have zero environmental impact. What a moron.

Yes but they actually contribute to society.

Golf is a sport, and many find it relaxing. Wouldn't you say that those two characteristics alone are "contributions to society"?

So does golf in more ways than you will ever know.
