You’re equating old timey books with racist depictions of minorities with…biographical books of minorities who’ve made significant contributions? |
As do most school libraries that aren’t in racist school systems/states. |
Are only black children and trans children allowed to see themselves in book characters? Some book fair organizers seem to think so. |

Good No need to cater to racist trash. |
When it's a large number of parents, then kids' book publishers and sellers should. You can do whatever you want, I guess, but if Scholastic wants to sell books to kids, then they will woo their parents. |
| Scholastic Book Fair is mostly a fundraiser for Scholastic Books, and mostly through the non-book junk items that they force libraries doing the the Fair to sell alongside the actual books. This "book fair" has always been more of a shopping fair. |
Schools are not forced to sell the “junk”. They have choice on whether to put it out and can even request it not be sent. Plenty of schools do this or only display those items for a short period. |
| OP if this is your biggest worry you have a charmed life. |

eye roll to another made-up "woke" victim post.
How dare some schools not allow all the liberal agenda books........ we must force them..... |
|
When schools start banning Scholastic Book Fairs, Scholastic will be forced to reconsider.
God forbid we allow a child to buy a book about a sitting SC justice. |

Refugee by Alan Gratz is on the banned books list? Wow! Really, for all ages? This book won numerous awards.
