I have BCBS FEP basic and Ozempic is covered no questions asked. For now at least, I worry that will change next year. No prior authorization required. |
Pp here. Oh, I am surprised, I did have to get pre-approval for the wagovy but it only took like a few days and it's good for 6 months. |
For those taking Ozemoic or Wegovy, how bad is the hair loss? The pharma companies tell doctors that any weight loss causes hair loss, but my friends are seeing far more severe hair loss with these meds than from normal weight loss. |
ABSOLUTELY |
I have lost just over 15 lbs so far and my hair is normal. I'm losing about 1-2 lbs per week, so that is a normal loss rather than rapid. Maybe rapid loss causes hair loss? I don't know. I'm on Wegovy. |
+100 I even still have a 6 pack with the belly fat around my belly button. I have rock solid muscular thighs and people talk about my guns. I have always had muscle and prob more now at 53. The jelly around my belly button cane overnight at 53. It’s definitely menopause related. I still workout (lift heavt too) 6 days per week, sometimes even 7, and eat healthy. |
+1. I’m down 55 pounds in 6 months. Steadily losing 8-10 pounds a month. Have not notice hair loss. I am eating a ton of protein through (100-120 grams a day, despite staying at 1200:calories). I think that helps. |
Have you had bloodwork done? Mine qualified as pre diabetic. |
Oh you poor baby, it's just horrible that you're not obese. |
Have you talked to your doctor? There are other weight loss drugs out there - ask about phentermine. It's cheap and it works. I lost 15 lbs in three months.
You can also ask about Contrave and Saxenda. |
And you think a little tummy chub means you require a drug made for people who have diabetes or are obese? Just to lose a tiny bit of tummy fat that nobody except for you notices? Get over yourself and maybe get some mental health help. People like you are nutcases. |
NP. Actually dummy. I’m not diabetic and I take ozempic and it is covered by my insurance |
Your doctor sounds like a moron. |
NP. Try, try, try to understand you’re wrong. Ozempic and Wegovy are the same exact drug. Ozempic can be prescribed off-label for weight loss. And many insurance companies, lije mibe, cover the off- use prescribing of Ozempic. I use it for weight loss only and my insurance covers it. |
Wrong. Mine does. |
