This is erroneous advice. The GPA has to be combined with rigor and the school's profile. It's not an absolute number. |

CNU has gotten more competitive and would be a tough admit for a kid below a 3.0. According the their website, “the middle 50 percent high school GPA range for our freshman class is 3.5–4.0 (4.0 scale).” Other sources have average GPA at 3.8. |

Suffolk is not well regarded, but Boston is! Could work out ok. Pace, Baruch, Hunter (NYC) get more respect (jobs). Depends on his interests and city preference. VCU? Seems like the DMV region has more to offer. Someone mentioned High Point, but not sure how much money you’re planning to throw at it. Some Florida schools might work. Is he artistic— Flagler. Rollins? It’s in a beautiful urban(ish) area, Winter Park. Is he athletic? What region are you in for state schools? |
