"No dog pee" sign - is one style more effective?

They have to think it would harm their dog to be on the grass

Bingo.

True, I would not put a sign like that. Instead I would put a friendly reminder that the yard is sprayed with toxic chemicals.

I'd rather that sign. However, your neighbors will judge you for an entirely different reason!

Ha. I came to say this exact same thing. The ones that say “please be respectful” make me vomit.

Dog owners: "asking me to be respectful of others makes me want to vomit."

Sums it up for dog owners.

No. We’re saying that a simple sign saying “no dog poop here” is all that’s needed. No need to admonish like we’re preschoolers. The city doesn’t put up signs saying “be respectful, no parking.”

I’m curious if the sociopath dog owners would also merrily go out of their way to destroy something like this:

+1. I make sure dog owners see me spraying chemicals when all I have in the big bottle is a dog repellent.
Most of my neighbors have 0.70-1 acre yards to be used as dog’s restrooms for their own dogs.

Where lawn and property and plants begin? If you're allowing your dog to pee on that part... you are a jerk and irresponsible owner.

And what happens when there is no sidewalk plus curb grass? The city where I live owns the X feet from the street and not every street has sidewalks. It is what it is.

You walk your dog on your own lawn, or in a public park. It is not the responsibility of everyone else to accommodate your choice to get a dog.

Then you get crazy Nextdoor posts like this: https://nextdoor.com/p/m5-277jzpsYT?view=detail

Oh no my doggis got cancer because it wandered into a neighbor's yard! How could people be so careless!

Dog owners... your dog, your responsibility. End of story.

I know you’re joking, but I bet dogs would be even more determined to pee there if you did.
