For the 4th of July? I mean...it's a holiday about kicking those brits out? |

I do some food writing/have a related Instagram account, and the things that have been most popular in the past several months (somewhat surprisingly because they aren’t that visual compared to say, a steak dinner or a cake) are seafood dips. Specifically in my case a cold devilled crab dip and a smoked whitefish dip.
I don’t know if this means they are “trending this year” necessarily but it’s a good indicator of people’s interest. |
We make this but with Korean guochang sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce. Other options are spicy bulgogi sauce for pork and chicken or a mixture of Szechuan hot chili crisp and honey. |

Watermelon, basil, feta cheese, olive oil and balsamic salad.
Caprese salad, mozzarella balls, tomatoes, basil, olive oil, salt |
Oh I love a good pea salad!! |

America’s Test Kitchen has recipe for one with homemade pudding and whipped cream. It’s great and fairly easy. |
Agree. I am not celebrating this year. But for dinner I am planning on enjoying grilled langoustines with Armagnac and a green salad. |
I would never bring this to a dinner. |
| None of these menus you all are posting sound remotely appetizing, to be perfectly frank. |
I like to bake from scratch, but I've found that with brownies, the ghirardelli mix is so good that you might as well just buy the mix. |
I do too, and no one makes them anymore. They are a 20th century novelty that needs a resurgence. |
OK? So you are not on trend. We get it. |
Do you make any substitutions-like coffee for water or butter for oil? |
