Me Talk Pretty One Day |
| I've re-read Ted Chiang's short stories collections ("Stories of Your Life" and "Exhalation") several times. |
| Blonde, by Joyce Carol Oates. It is about 1000x better than the Netflix show based on it. |
Same, same, same! |
|
Animal, Vegetable, Miracle - Barbara Kingsolver
Walden - Henry David Thoreau A Christmas Carol every year around Christmas Like a PP, I like to reread Jane Austen in fall, warm cider in hand! |
A Fine Balance wrecked me the first time. I can’t read it again. I’m lowbrow compared to you all. I re-read: The Secret History Harriet the Spy (one of my favorite books as a child) Moo and a lot of other Jane Smiley books And these authors for comfort reading: Agatha Christie Laurie Colwin Elinor Lipman (early, not more recent) Jane Austen Cathleen Schine |
I’ve read this many times, too. Remarkable. |
| I love to re-read all my Daphne DuMauriers. |
|
Have reread all of these:
Olive Kitteridge A Prayer for Owen Meany 100 Years of Solitude East of Eden The Mysts of Avalon The poems of Anne Sexton Salt (the little nonfiction book) Guns, Germs & Steel (fwiw, it did not age well) |
So good. I wrote about it in grad school and it has stayed with me. |
Love rereading Harriet Vane and Lord Peter Wimsey series! |
I loved that book! |
|
God I hardly ever reread and when I do its comfort based. The only books I've ever reread:
Redwall - Brian Jaques (a kid's book I read over and over) Harry Potter, various And I am embarrassed to admit this, but Twilight. And my overall reading habits are extremely varied I read all kinds of genres including heavy books and the classics but these are the books I reread when I want to just curl into something familiar and pleasant. |
This is my favorite too. |

Fatal Vision by Joe McGuinness
I’ve read it probably half a dozen times. So good |
