U Chicago feels like you are in Harry Potter
Castle and gorgeous grounds
Very unexpected

I saw couple mentions of Wake Forest and wanted to add that on our tour of the school we met some student group on cafeteria patio (school was in session) that were performing comedians. Cannot remember club name. They were actually hilarious and DS thought it was very cool. And it was beautiful Spring day. Best tour.

I’m the alum that posted earlier - I can’t remember the name of the group, but was it like an improv theater group? There was one that did performances every semester and the whole school would go. They would do bits about student health and stuff like that. A couple girls from my freshman hall were involved. I’m going to have to look it up because it’s going to bug me!

University of Kentucky. Really pretty campus, nice students, and a lot of interesting research. Unexpected.

A friend has one daughter already there and a second possible (actually going to check her page now to see if a decision has been made)

Parents are not alums

We went to U Delaware the week before and it was nice.. in a boring way. but Temple won hands down for school spirit and clean, modern facilities. Yeah yeah yeah, I know the surrounding area is rough.

I am from Philly and hard no to Temple. School is great but the area around is really really really dangerous.

+1
My DD was completely sold on VT after our visit. We both felt a palpable energy there, and everyone was so nice.

FOUND IT! Lilting Banshees is the name of the group. Started not long before I got there

My phone is being annoying with copy/paste, so I can’t currently share the link, but you can find it on the theater site

We loved JMU. The quad/Bluestone area is so quintessentially "college." Lovely buildings. Students and faculty were incredibly kind and welcoming, happy to answer any questions we had. And the drive through the Shenandoah Valley is beautiful, especially in spring and fall.

I've always been interested in this school. What did you like about it?

Salve Regina. OMG is that campus gorgeous! What a great place for the middle-of-the-road kid whose parents have the means to send them there.

Syracuse, Pitt, and Tech were surprisingly great. UVA was suprisingly disappointing.

We have enjoyed many of our school visits, but one school I don't see mentioned often on this board is Rollins College. It is the prettiest campus I've ever been on. My husband kept asking, "Are we on a movie set?!” The campus tour was excellent. It seems like the students have good relationships with their professors. The town of Winter Park is just a few steps off campus and is so quaint. Students were happy--I mean, how could they not be on that campus? My DC ended up somewhere else, but we hope our other children will give it a look.

DS and I both LOVED Elon after our tour, but DS feels it's too small. I am bummed b/c it feels like a great place.

Good to hear. DC is being recruited for a sport, and we know nothing about it (yet).

Given what is going on in Florida right now with NCoF, I don't think I'd send a kid anywhere near the state.

Muhlenberg -- super friendly & knowledgeable tour guide. Felt like the college was very student-centric.
