2022 DMV Girls Scores

There was a lot of talk about PVI being a dominant team. Losing by 5 to Saints in a down year doesn’t seem to support this.

I haven’t heard anyone can them a dominant team. They have a handful of really good players and will do better in WCAC then ever before but are still years from a national level team. In the past a national strength Saints would have smashed them by 10+ points.

There was a lot of chatter in this very thread (and in ‘22 DMV Girls Outlook) by PVI parents that this team was going to dominate this year. Tough to walk that back now after today’s game v Saints.

Not a lot of good girls lax coaches out there who aren’t also psycho and/or mean as hell. Only ones that come to mind are Jenkins, Morris, Mercer, Walsh, McCormack, and maybe Coleman (although pushes the second at times). Rest of IAC are either worthless or crazy.

Somewhat surprised with the new campus/facility that they haven't attracted more interest as it's in a great location for "local" talent.

A team in Loudoun County had a competitive game with a school that has students basically groomed to attend for lacrosse. The score was 8-11 at one point. Not sure why the narrative is going against PVI?

Not a narrative against. But there were some confident predictions that PVI would beat Saints and BI this year (see p10 of DMV Girls Outlook 2022). Many would say a five goal loss to Saints, given the bold forecast of how the game would unfold, is noteworthy.

He is good, prob best public girls coach, but West Springfield wasn't in ISL last time checked (PP said IAC but is ISL for girls).
