I wasn’t too surprised by the Gonzaga - Landon outcome as these Landon teams just really aren’t the same since when Coach Bordley retired.

I’m a bit surprised by the PVI - Saints score as I really thought this was the Saints year given they brought back most of their roster from last season.
Maybe the coaching change at PVI has made the difference as the panthers have always had talent.

I still don’t think anyone is coming close to SJC from the DC area this Spring

Landon hasn't had the talent level they had when Joey Epstein and others were playing in Bordley's final years; they look small compared to many teams. However, in the last three or four years post-Bordley, they were still scoring goals and consistently a tough out - last spring they were the third best team in the area behind SJC and Prep when all was said and done. They just look lost so far this season and seem to have no answer offensively having graduated that big lefty attackman.

So does PVI jump to 3rd in DMV Rankings? Bullis will need to win tomorrow for that not to happen.

Objective historical facts?

The WCAC top dogs deserve all the credit for continuing to grow and might lock up the argument to be the new power conference in the area, but I can't remember a year when Landon, Bullis, or Prep weren't better than any of the WCAC's top 3.

If either Bullis or Prep goes 2-0 tomorrow and Saturday then I think they will stay about PVI. Spalding and LB would likely be viewed as comparable or better than SSSAS, as would Haverford/Malvern. 1-1, probably, or 0-2, definitely, allows PVI to jump them.

If the Heights upsets PVI on Friday it could be wide open in the rankings.

Watched the Gonzaga game last night. 6 of their starters are sophomores and they have 4 other very good sophomores who get solid minutes. It looks like the definitely have the best 2024 class in the area. It will be interesting to see how good Gonzaga is Next year when all of sjc 2022s leave.

4 of Gonzaga's starters are sophomores, not 6.

I was very impressed with the smaller, quick attackman who played at X. He has excellent vision.

They did play well against a mediocre Landon team. Have tougher games in the next few weeks. Let’s see how they respond in those games.

St. John’s will still have a strong team next year. Obviously the 22 class is possibly the best in the country so they will be missed.

SSSA defense was very bad yesterday. Got to go with Bullis being the top team in the IAC. They have the top defense in the league and defense wins championships.

This is definitely this kid’s Dad. Their attack ain’t great. But that transition game by the mids was awesome.

One of the sophomore attackmen had 5 goals…. The other sophomore attackmen had 2 and the sophomore mid also had 2. Gonzaga will be a lot better next year with a very good rising junior class and good rising senior class. They will also get back their gtown middie who is out for the rest of the year.

SSSA attack dad, the offense only scored 7 hard to blame that on the D. If the game was 14-13 you may have a point.
