What a dumb ass comment. It's not a mainstream position to argue against abortions in case of life or serious health threats to the mother.

Are you a dumbass? What do you think overturning Roe will mean?

And I’m sorry to break it to you, but pregnancy is a serious health threat to every woman. Look up US maternal mortality rates and get back to me. And that’s with legal abortion possible. Pregnancy needs to be a choice. Period.

The maternal mortality rate in the US is about 17 per 100,000. The mortality for the flu is 15 per 100,000. Can you justify killing your kids because they may bring back flu from school?

Try looking it up for Black women in Mississippi. More than twice that high. That’s a coincidence the “pro-life” group is ok with though for some reason I can’t quite figure out...

Oh right it’s that they’re racist!

Flu mortality is higher for blacks as well so the ratio stands. Do you advocate killing off children because they pose a "serious threat" to the mothers for bringing home flu?

All I’m advocating for is not being forced to continue a pregnancy against my will.

So simple, and all the tortured analogies the PP will try to come up with can’t defeat it.

My body, my choice. Pregnancy can’t be sustained outside of it. I should be free to choose whose life is more valuable. It’s a personal decision.

Funny thing about forced birth people is a lot of them are totally fine with engaging in lethal defense of property….. shows you what they value pretty plainly.

They’re fine with gun violence in general.

They’re fine stripping health care from people.

They’re fine with children starving.

They’re fine with spreading covid and refusing to take any steps to slow the spread.

They’re fine with exceptionally disabled children languishing in foster care.

They just want women to suffer.

They want power and don’t care who suffers, and dressing it up as concern for life is the biggest hypocrisy of them all. A very special place in hell for them.

Amen and Merry Christmas. Jesus wouldn’t approve of using the law as a phony moral shield, instead of doing real service to women and girls in desperate situations. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone and all of that.

White men without a college education are more likely to be unemployed, die at an earlier age.

They are more likely to never find a woman to marry them or to be divorced

.... and if Abortion is made illegal in this country, they are about to never be worth the risk of a mercy F*ck ever again...

So, maybe they should wise up

Organized, well-funded misogyny.

I’m a staunch democrat that went to LSU for college. You have to understand that these people’s views on abortion are for show. I had PLENTY of good Christian sorority girlfriends there that had abortions and took the morning after pill every other weekend. As their one liberal friend, I was the only one they felt safe enough for them to confide in.

The hypocrisy was unbelievable. But you have to understand the degree to which these girls felt they had to uphold southern conservative norms and back their menfolk was stifling.

No wonder they project about “abortion as birth control;” they were the ones who were using it that way!

I find hypocrisy absolutely nauseating.

What a dumb ass comment. It's not a mainstream position to argue against abortions in case of life or serious health threats to the mother.

Are you even reading the actual crazy-a$$ laws being written these days? No exceptions for rape, incest, health of mother, etc.

Or, how have Dems been doing electorally this century after going from "safe, legal, and rare" to "abortion all the time until 40 weeks!"?

Abortion's probably harder to get in more states than it was in 2000, and the GOP has built up trifectas in what, 26 or 27 states?

Well, I have great news for the “most people” who are uncomfortable with abortions after about 20 weeks. Guess what? It’s not really a thing. Abortions only happen after that point if there is something catastrophically wrong. Let’s show some grace to these poor women who are going through a devastating experience. The vast, vast percentage of abortions happens way before your “uncomfortable” metric.

It’s also not a mainstream position to think it’s okay for people to collect $10k for turning in their neighbors over medical decisions, but somehow we are ina position where five members of SCOTUS seem okay with that.

I think that the Court will not uphold the Texas law on the basis of the underlying legal structure and not consider the abortion aspect at all, because they are able to overturn Roe with this Mississippi case. The TX case is a serious threat to the Supreme Court’s power and influence and you can be sure SCOTUS won’t throw their own power under the bus in order to overturn Roe.

They’ll throw stare decisis under that bus, though. Huge can of worms.

This is true, and it's also true that this has been messaged very badly by Democrats. The best statement I've heard on it from a Democrat was Pete Buttigieg on Fox News.
