What do you spend on a classmate birthday present?

| $25 for a classmate or neighbor. $50 for close friend. I know that people usually give gifts from $5 -$15. We can't help ourselves as we were raised to be generous. It is a gift and a curse!! |

| Had a party for my child this month - gifts received were being $15-$20 (obv don’t know if some were on sale). Anything more would have made me feel very uncomfortable. This was a small party for a first-grader. |
